The Computer Science Students Association has its own home page. The only other Computer Science department in Iceland is in the Commercial College of Iceland. However there are many CS-departments abroad. To be admitted to US universities you have to take various standard tests.

There are many interesting places on the Web. We have compiled a list of the main Computer Magazines with a presence on the Web. We have also made a list of the major computer and software companies. You can find pictures of historic computers on the Web. The Web also contains a collection of articles on how to write and do research in Computer Science.

The most important association of computer scientists is the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery). The association of electrical engineers also has a special branch for computer scientists, IEEE Computer Society. You can also get in touch with other computer related organizations, such as the Electronic Frontier Foundation, who's main aim is to protect the freedom and privacy of individuals in Cyperspace. The Internet has its own organization, The Internet Society. The precentage of women in Computer Science is very low. Some material has been gathered together to try to understand the reasons for this imbalance.

There is a lot of useful information on the Web. For instance there is material on C and C++. There is also an information center on processors.
