Affrication of tj, dj                       



In RP tj and dj often become affricated to and .
This means that:
 
Tuesday becomes  
I haven't finished yet
he's due at six
d'you like it
did you like it


 

In those accents (for example American) where j is not dropped after t or d, this does not of course happen. So Americans say

 
tune, due
instead of  
tune, due
