shapeR

shapeR is a R-package developed to analyse otolith shape (example from Libungan and Pálsson in prep). Here are zipped images of otoliths and data to use with the tutorial.

Spass and spaida

Two computer programs to analyse spatial patterns of microsatellite loci (Pálsson 2004). Two sample input files: 1. data from Daphnia pulex (Palsson 2000, Mol Ecol. 9:1075-1088) (daphnia) and 2. data from ant colonies (ants).

March 25th 2004: New versions with corrected great circle distances in km, calculated from latitudes and longitudes. Correlation coefficient (Pearson) corrected.
Latitudes and longitudes should be written as degree.min as 30.05 for example for 30 degrees and 5 minutes. If samples include populations from both sides of equator or longitude 0, one should distingush the sides with plus and minus degrees.

Programs for dos:
1. spaida - tests for correlation between genetic distances and geographic distances.
2. spass - calculate assignments values of genotypes based on probability calculations.
Programs for linux:
1. spaida - tests for correlation between genetic distances and geographic distances.
2. spass - calculate assignments values of genotypes based on probability calculations.
