Development of stripes
| An ice stream starts to flow at t = 0.
We follow the generation of a flow stripe, a depression, forming because of a bump in the bedrock topography. A hill forms on the upward side of the bump and a depression downstream of it. The length of the profile is 80 ice thickness, and it is 28 ice thickness across. Press reload to re-start the animation, or wait (it only takes a few seconds). |
