Pied-billed Grebes in Iceland

Iceland's first Pied-billed Grebe Podilymbus podiceps was collected in October 1976 at Kvísker, Örćfi (SE-Iceland). (Only) Three have been recorded up to and including 2011.

  • Figure 2 shows the weekly distribution of records. The red column shows the week of discovery.
    R = number of records & F = number of birds.
